About Buenos Aires

Before or after your Patagonian adventure, consider spending time in Buenos Aires, a city often described as more European than South American in character. This vibrant capital combines tradition and modernity in perfect balance.

  • Stroll along its grand avenues and through historic neighborhoods.
  • Visit world-class museums and enjoy the city’s famous café culture.
  • Experience the passion of Tango in a traditional milonga.
  • Feel the energy of Argentine football at La Boca Stadium or Estadio Monumental.

Buenos Aires reflects the influence of the many European immigrants who arrived in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Each neighborhood offers its own unique character:

  • La Boca – brightly painted homes, working-class charm, and tango culture.
  • San Telmo – cobblestone streets, antiques, and bohemian spirit.
  • Recoleta & Barrio Norte – elegant districts with French-inspired architecture.

With its mix of European heritage and Latin American vibrancy, Buenos Aires offers an unforgettable cultural experience.

Buenos Aires Bus

If you’d like to take a quick tour of the city, the City Tour Bus is a great option. It offers two routes — one red and one yellow — each lasting about three and a half hours and covering many of the city’s main landmarks. The map below shows the starting points for both routes. You can find more information and purchase tickets here: Yellow Bus and Red Bus.
